​For Families Outside of Maine, the enrollment period is 365 days to accommodate your local school year. We offer annual enrollment, official transcripts, and high school diplomas.

Enrollment

Freedom Academy is an umbrella school for homeschoolers. Freedom Academy serves Maine families, and we can also offer services to families living in most U.S. states. We offer services related to record keeping, report cards, transcripts and/or diplomas.  We can help you transfer your records. We can help you navigate your local homeschooling rules. Each family is responsible for understanding the homeschooling laws in each family's state. We tell each family to take responsibility for their decision to homeschool. We can offer consultations if you need help choosing your approach, for additional cost. You get to choose your own approach. We do not provide or require any particular curricula. To enroll, please fill out the contact form, and we will send you the link to the enrollment form. Because we choose not to comply with any particular set of curriculum requirements, we chose not to seek accreditation from any of the large regional accreditation organizations in the U.S.
Each state has differing legal requirements for homeschooling. Make sure you check the specific legal requirements of your state.
Some states , AK, CT, IA, ID, MI, MO, NJ, OK, TX have no specific legal requirements related to home education.
Many other states each have different specific legal requirements that must be followed. 

Costs

Cost: $80 for the first student in the family, $50 for each additional student in the family.

Transcripts and Diploma

​At the end of the year, you are required to fill out an end-of-the year form, as well as a mid-year report. We encourage each family to keep their own records. We offer transcripts and diplomas, for additional cost. If you homeschooled independently, we can make transcripts for you once annual enrollment is paid for each year of transcript requests. To graduate, your student must submit a proposal for his/her Graduation project.
