For Families Outside of Maine, the enrollment period is 365 days to accommodate your local school year. We offer annual enrollment, official transcripts, and high school diplomas.
Enrollment
Freedom Academy primarily serves families in Maine, but enrollment and recordkeeping services may also be available to families living in other states.
Homeschooling laws vary considerably from state to state. Families living outside Maine are responsible for determining whether enrollment with Freedom Academy is compatible with the homeschooling or private-school requirements of their state.
Freedom Academy can provide school records and administrative services, but enrollment with Freedom Academy does not replace any filing, notification, testing, assessment or other requirement imposed by a family’s home state unless that state’s law specifically provides otherwise.
Educational Approach
Freedom Academy allows families to choose the curriculum and educational approach that works best for their children. We do not require families to use a particular curriculum or homeschooling method.
Families remain responsible for directing their children’s education and maintaining appropriate records of coursework and educational progress.
Consultations regarding curriculum, course planning or homeschooling approaches may also be available for an additional fee.
Records and Reports

TranscriptFreedom Academy can prepare high school transcripts for enrolled students for an additional fee.
Families who previously homeschooled independently may also request transcript services. Enrollment fees may be required for each school year represented on a transcript, depending on the student’s circumstances and the records being submitted. Families should keep accurate records of courses, credits, grades when applicable, curriculum and other educational work completed during the high school years. |
DiplomaGraduation and diploma services are available for eligible students for additional fees.
