Welcome to Freedom Academy. We are a Recognized as Equivalent Private School (REPS) located in Maine.
Maine laws allow for two options to homeschool your child. One is called Option 1 or "Letter of Intent." Option 2 is a REPS. This can be seen in many forms, but for those homeschooling, a REPS means you have the freedom to educate your children at home while enjoying private school privileges. You still have complete control over what your child learns, what you use for curriculum, and continue to teach your child at home. There is an administrator who files all the necessary paperwork.
This is one reason why we are called Freedom Academy.
