Welcome to Freedom Academy
Educational freedom. Your child. Your curriculum. Your way.
Freedom Academy is a Maine Recognized as Equivalent Private School serving families who educate their children at home.
Serving 330 students from 200 families during the 26-27 school year.
With Freedom Academy, parents choose their own curriculum, teach their children at home and direct their children's day-to-day education. Freedom Academy provides the private-school enrollment structure and handles required school reporting.
For Maine families, Freedom Academy offers an alternative to the state's home-instruction option. Students enrolled through our recognized private school are not required to complete the annual portfolio review or standardized testing process associated with Maine's home-instruction route.
You direct your child's education. We handle the administrative side.
That's the freedom behind Freedom Academy.
2026-27 Enrollment Is Open!
Annual tuition:
$60 per student when paid by July 31.
$80 per student after July 31.
Enrollment is completed online.
